In 2011, Gov. Tom Corbett slashed nearly $1 billion from Pennsylvania's public schools, creating a school funding crisis that is getting worse every year these unprecedented cuts are not restored.

The governor's proposed 2013-2014 state budget would increase public school funding by only $90 million more than public schools received this year, leaving a massive, $766 million funding gap that remains unfilled.

The impact of these school funding cuts has forced 70 percent of school districts to increase class sizes, 44 percent to cut programs that work for students, and 35 percent to slash tutoring programs.
